1. Introduction

MusiQ ("we", "our", or "us"), available at https://playmusiq.com, provides an interactive social music jukebox enabling guests and party hosts to search, queue, and enjoy licensed music videos collaboratively in real-time. We are deeply committed to respecting your privacy and protecting any information processed through our service.

2. YouTube API Services & Third-Party Services

MusiQ operates using the YouTube Data API v3 and the official YouTube IFrame Embed Player API. Please review the following third-party terms:

• Google Security Settings: Users can view and revoke API access at any time via the Google Security Settings page at https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions.

3. Information We Access, Collect, and Store

MusiQ is designed with privacy-first principles. We do not require guest partygoers to create accounts, provide passwords, or connect their personal Google accounts.

• YouTube Data API Queries: When you search for songs, search queries are sent via our serverless edge proxy to the YouTube Data API v3 to retrieve video titles, channel names, and public thumbnail URLs. We do not access or collect personal YouTube profile information, private playlists, or private viewing histories.
• Temporary Caching: Public search results and public video metadata are cached in temporary server memory and edge CDN caches for up to 24 hours strictly to minimize redundant API calls, reduce network latency, and comply with YouTube API quota limitations. We do not store API data permanently or for longer than permitted by YouTube API Developer Policies (max 30 days).
• Queue Data: When songs are added to a shared party room, video identifiers (IDs), titles, and optional guest display names are synchronized in real time using Google Cloud Firestore. Rooms expire and are automatically cleared.
• Payment Information: Fast Pass microtransactions and Venue Pro subscriptions are processed securely by Stripe (stripe.com). MusiQ never stores or sees credit card numbers or banking credentials.

4. Video Playback & Content Integrity

All music videos are played exclusively through the official YouTube IFrame Embed Player API. In strict compliance with YouTube Developer Policies:

• We do not download, rip, scrape, or store YouTube audio or video streams offline.
• We do not separate audio streams from video playback.
• We preserve all YouTube on-screen branding, video titles, channel attributions, and direct links back to YouTube.
• We do not insert, overlay, or sell advertisements within or adjacent to the YouTube player window.

5. Data Retention & Deletion Policy

MusiQ does not retain personal user data. Party playlist queues are transient. If you wish to request deletion of any session data or have questions regarding data privacy, you may contact us directly at privacy@playmusiq.com.
