By accessing or using MusiQ (playmusiq.com), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service as well as the official YouTube Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the service.
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of MusiQ ("we", "our", or "us"). By using our website, host screens, guest queue interfaces, or related services, you agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
2. YouTube API Services & Content Attribution
MusiQ uses YouTube API Services to allow users to search for music and play public YouTube music videos in real-time synchronized rooms.
- All video playback is conducted exclusively via the official YouTube IFrame Embed Player API.
- Content ownership, copyrights, trademarks, and artist rights remain the sole property of their respective creators and YouTube.
- Users must not attempt to download, rip, alter, capture, or stream YouTube content outside of the official embedded player.
- Users are bound by the YouTube Terms of Service and Google's Privacy Policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
3. Acceptable Use Policy
When using MusiQ, you agree that you will not:
- Submit abusive, defamatory, or unlawful search terms or display names.
- Attempt to circumvent API quota limits, flood the queue, or perform Denial of Service attacks.
- Reverse engineer, disassemble, or tamper with the application's synchronization or payment logic.
- Sell or display unauthorized advertising overlays on top of the YouTube video player.
4. Microtransactions & Subscriptions
- Fast Pass & Veto: Optional priority pass microtransactions allow users to place a song at the front of a party queue. These microtransactions are non-refundable once the song is successfully promoted to the queue.
- Venue Pro: Recurring subscriptions for commercial venues and DJs can be cancelled at any time via the Stripe customer billing portal.
- All payments are processed securely through Stripe. MusiQ does not store credit card numbers.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability
MusiQ is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted uptime or that third-party services such as YouTube or Stripe will always be available. Under no circumstances shall MusiQ be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
